A core goal in the overhaul of the website was to improve performance and reduce the amount of calls a single request would make to the backend server. This goal was met; however, the new features (and word of mouth) has lead to the website seeing unprecedented levels of traffic. This has resulted in heavier loads, especially during maintenance periods.

We’ve implemented some software changes to help ensure the site remains fast and reliable, even during times of peak usage. This mitigation will assist as we work on bringing new hardware online, if necessary, to handle the new demand. These changes have been completed and the site’s responsiveness should be much improved.

We appreciate your patience while we continue to work on enhancing site performance and ensure the site remains accessible, and fast, at all times. After all, nobody likes slow loading pages or images… so we’ll do our best to keep things speedy!
